Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients
• Monitor patient status and hemodynamics closely during the perioperative period
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Administer medications and document treatments accurately and promptly
• Educate patients and families about post-op care, recovery expectations, and discharge plans
• Respond swiftly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns when needed
• Maintain a safe, organized environment and follow infection control best practices

Qualifications

• RN with demonstrated experience in cardiovascular surgery (1 year experience noted)
• Comfort working in a fast-paced surgical/cardiac environment
• Willingness to work as a travel RN and adapt to a new facility and team

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac and perioperative nursing knowledge
• Proficiency in patient monitoring and assessment in the post-op setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Critical thinking and the ability to prioritize patient needs quickly
• Accurate clinical documentation and medication administration
