Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory and cardiopulmonary care to patients across the lifespan during night shifts
- Perform pulmonary function testing, stress testing, and EEG testing with accuracy and attention to detail
- Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment while monitoring patient response and safety
- Lead neonatal resuscitation and assist with high-risk deliveries when needed, applying NRP protocols
- Respond rapidly to emergencies using BLS/ACLS/PALS skills and escalate care appropriately
- Document assessments, treatments, and test results thoroughly in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to create and execute patient-centered care plans
- Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions, home therapies, and follow-up care
Qualifications
- Unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Respiratory Therapy experience with a diverse patient mix
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be obtained upon hire)
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider certification
- Experience performing Pulmonary Function Testing, Stress Testing, and EEG testing
- Preferred: NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), EPIC experience, and bilingual Spanish skills

- Pulmonary function testing and interpretation
- Stress testing and EEG testing procedures
- Neonatal resuscitation and care for high-risk deliveries
- Ventilator management and advanced airway support
- Strong clinical judgment and emergency response skills (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP)
- Electronic medical record documentation (EPIC preferred)
- Effective patient and family education and communication
- Ability to work independently on night shifts and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
