Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Verify medication orders and perform accurate medication verification to keep patients safe
- Compound and oversee sterile IV preparations using Dose Edge and ensure compliance with protocols
- Manage Pyxis systems and handle first-dose and emergency medication box processes
- Provide clinical dosing recommendations for vancomycin, aminoglycosides, anticoagulants and other therapies
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians during decentralized operations
- Document and communicate effectively in Meditech to support coordinated patient care
- Participate in pain consults and support interdisciplinary rounds to improve patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
- Licensed to practice Pharmacy in Missouri (MO) (required)
- Minimum 2 years pharmacy experience (inpatient preferred)
- Experience with sterile IV compounding and medication verification
- Familiarity with Dose Edge, Pyxis, Pak Edge and Meditech
- ACLS and BLS certifications preferred
- NICU experience is a plus and will be considered favorably
- Strong communication skills and ability to supervise pharmacy technicians
Education
- Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of inpatient pharmacy workflows and sterile compounding best practices
- Proficient with Dose Edge, Pyxis automation and Pak Edge systems
- Experience using Meditech EMR for medication order entry and documentation
- Medication dosing expertise for antibiotics, anticoagulants and analgesic management
- Excellent attention to detail, clinical judgment and patient-safety mindset
- Team-oriented approach and effective interdisciplinary communication
