Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly and accurately in a high-volume Emergency Department
• Provide advanced trauma and stroke care using evidence-based protocols
• Monitor patients continuously with cardiac monitoring and respond to changes promptly
• Document patient care clearly and efficiently in Cerner
• Administer medications and manage Baxter pumps and bedside equipment safely
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, culturally aware care
• Coach and give real-time feedback to peers to support a strong team performance
• Maintain patient experience standards (AIDET, respectful communication, updates throughout visit)

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of practice (compact license accepted if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (>100,000 visits) preferred
• Certifications required prior to start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Comfortable working rotating 12-hour shifts and every-other-weekend coverage
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and ability to coach and provide feedback in real time
• Familiarity with Cerner, Baxter pumps and GE monitors preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing fundamentals and high-acuity patient care
• Patient triage and rapid assessment
• Trauma and stroke recognition and interventions
• Cardiac monitoring and arrhythmia recognition
• Proficient Cerner documentation and electronic charting
• Use and troubleshooting of Baxter infusion pumps and GE monitors
• Patient experience techniques including AIDET and clear communication
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
