Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care for oncology and BMT ICU patients, delivering compassionate, high-quality nursing
• Manage ventilators and BiPAP patients, ensuring optimal respiratory support
• Titrate drips safely and accurately to maintain hemodynamic stability
• Perform tracheostomy, A-line and total care tasks including dressing changes and turning
• Operate and manage CRRT and IV pump therapies as indicated
• Document care thoroughly in Meditech and use Flow-track for patient monitoring
• Collaborate closely with physicians, interdisciplinary team members and fellow nurses to coordinate care
• Float across ICUs, PCU and BMT as needed while maintaining excellent patient rapport

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with critical care / ICU experience
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (strong ICU experience required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Comfortable with ventilator management, drip titration and caring for complex, critically ill patients
• Experience with CRRT and transplant patient populations preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and BiPAP care
• Drip titration and vasoactive medication management
• Tracheostomy and A-line care
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) operation
• Meditech EMR documentation and Flow-track monitoring
• IV pump management and safe medication administration
• Ability to manage 2:1 patient ratios in a fast-paced oncology ICU
• Strong communication, teamwork and compassionate bedside care
