Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered direct care and assistance with daily living activities
• Monitor and report patient condition changes, including vital signs, to the clinical team
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, prioritizing dignity and comfort
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the charting system
• Communicate clearly with nurses, physicians, and family members to support coordinated care
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (recommended to be valid in California)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Ability to work overnight shifts and remain alert and professional throughout the shift
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs, transfers, and toileting with patient safety first
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and basic observations
• Knowledge of infection prevention and standard precautions
• Good charting habits and ability to follow care plans accurately
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and professional bedside manner
