Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU setting
• Monitor and assess critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to changes quickly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
• Perform and document thorough patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical record documentation
• Advocate for patient safety and promote best practices in infection control

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Critical care/ICU experience and comfort with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced cardiac life support
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) strongly preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to the fast-paced ICU environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in ICU monitoring and assessment techniques
• Familiarity with ventilator management and titration of vasoactive medications
• Skilled in IV medication administration, infusion pumps, and central line care
• Ability to prioritize care for multiple critically ill patients
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems for documentation
