Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care during overnight MST shifts
• Assess patients thoroughly and develop timely nursing plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and respond to changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document patient care clearly and efficiently in the electronic medical record
• Respond to urgent situations calmly and lead initial clinical interventions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (California) or eligibility to obtain
• Experience or familiarity with MST clinical environment (Medical-Surgical/Telemetry context)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable working independently on overnight shifts and collaborating with team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medical-surgical and telemetry patient care skills
• IV therapy and medication administration competency
• Patient assessment, monitoring, and early recognition of deterioration
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and clear documentation
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
• Time management and prioritization during busy overnight hours
