Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient response
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate timely, patient-centered care
• Document patient status and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families in high-stress situations
• Float to other units as needed to support staffing and patient needs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state or compact RN license
• Required: Demonstrated Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS and PALS are highly valued
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid clinical assessment in a fast-paced environment
• IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency procedures
• Cardiac monitoring and interpretation of rhythm strips
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Proficient documentation in electronic medical records
• Adaptability to float to other units and handle changing patient acuity
