Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality X-ray and CT imaging with attention to patient safety and comfort
• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures while following radiation safety protocols
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure accurate imaging and timely results
• Verify patient identity, maintain clear documentation, and ensure image quality standards
• Use sound judgment to address patient needs and respond to urgent situations calmly
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, escalating issues when needed
• Communicate results and findings clearly to the care team and contribute to excellent patient experiences

Qualifications

• Illinois Radiologic Technologist license (required)
• CRP Certification (as listed in job requirements)
• Graduate of an accredited program in radiological technology
• Ability to read, speak, and communicate effectively in English
• Basic computer knowledge for image capture and record keeping
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated sound judgment
• Basic math skills sufficient for measurement and documentation tasks

Education

• Graduate of an accredited program in radiological technology

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in X-ray and CT imaging techniques
• Knowledge of radiological safety and infection control practices
• Comfortable using PACS and basic imaging software
• Ability to follow protocols and one- or two-step instructions accurately
• Effective patient communication and positioning skills
• Attention to detail for ensuring diagnostic image quality
