Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document patient condition, reporting changes to nursing staff
• Support residents with safe transfers, ambulation, and continence care
• Deliver timely, accurate intake/output and vital signs documentation
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote resident comfort and dignity
• Assist with meal service and ensure dietary needs are met
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in the state of New Jersey (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Comfortable working a day shift schedule with every-other-weekend coverage
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic nursing tasks: bathing, feeding, toileting, dressing
• Able to take and record vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Good documentation practices and attention to detail
• Team player with empathy and strong interpersonal skills
