Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of patient care and observations
• Support a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
• Help residents maintain dignity and independence through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant). Must be active in or eligible for New Mexico placement
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work overnight shifts and weekend schedule (Sun, Fri, Sat)
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Comfort with physical aspects of the role, including safe patient handling

Education

• Completion of state-approved CNA program or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ADLs, transfers, toileting and bedside care
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and intake/output
• Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety standards
• Comfortable with electronic charting or willingness to learn EHR systems
• Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
