Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures from setup to scanning and processing, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images
• Administer and prepare contrast media and start peripheral IVs when needed
• Operate and maintain MR and auxiliary equipment, troubleshooting to keep workflows smooth
• Follow ACR imaging and safety guidelines to protect patients and staff
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, patients and families to support excellent care
• Perform quality control, reporting tasks, and assist radiologists with specialized imaging
• Manage day-to-day scheduling to keep the unit running efficiently
• Chart appropriately in EPIC and support accurate patient documentation

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) and ARRT MR required
• Washington state license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required (first-timers accepted per posting)
• Pending licenses are not accepted
• Travelers: RTO restrictions must be included with submittal

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong familiarity with MR sequences: T1, T2, diffusion, gradient echo, spin echo
• Experience with MRA, abdominal and pelvic imaging, musculoskeletal and spine protocols
• Proficiency with image post-processing: ADC mapping, subtraction, MIP, MPR
• Comfortable with GE, Philips, Siemens and Toshiba MRI platforms and PACS
• Contrast media preparation and safe administration along with IV starts
• Working knowledge of ACR safety guidelines and MRI safety best practices
• Charting experience in EPIC and collaborating in a fast-paced hospital setting
