Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform rapid, accurate triage to prioritize patient care and keep the ED flow moving
• Monitor and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
• Administer and titrate emergency medications, including vasopressors and continuous IV sedation/paralytics
• Provide procedural sedation and closely monitor patients during and after procedures
• Manage ventilated patients and collaborate with respiratory therapy for optimal outcomes
• Care for trauma patients in a Level I Trauma Center environment with appropriate interventions
• Administer blood products and manage arterial and central lines safely
• Deliver pediatric emergency care and manage psych holds with compassion and clinical skill
• Document accurately in EPIC and use Pyxis for medication management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners (pharmacy, respiratory services, interpreters) to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN license (required)
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI
• Comfortable with triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, ventilator management, procedural sedation, and emergency meds
• Experience in Level I Trauma Center, stroke-certified, or STEMI-certified facilities is strongly preferred
• Ability to float between units as needed
• Familiarity with EPIC documentation and Pyxis medication systems
• First-time travel nurses are welcome

• Current Ohio RN license (explicit requirement)
