Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of general nuclear medicine and cardiac nuclear stress studies accurately and compassionately
• Perform IV insertions while ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Safely handle, store, and account for radioactive materials according to regulations
• Maintain American College of Radiography NM Accreditation and State of Maine radioactive materials licensing requirements
• Document procedures and results in detail to support quality care and regulatory compliance
• Communicate clearly and professionally with cardiologists and radiologists to optimize exam quality
• Deliver exceptional patient care and education, helping patients feel informed and at ease
• Split clinical time between the Portsmouth outpatient cardiology office and York main campus to provide seamless imaging services

Qualifications

• CNMT licensure (required)
• BLS Certification (required)
• State of Maine Radioactive Materials license (required)
• American College of Radiography NM Accreditation (required)
• 1+ year nuclear medicine experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac nuclear stress testing and outpatient cardiology preferred
• Comfortable performing IV insertions and working directly with patients
• Ability to travel/commute between York, ME and Portsmouth, NH as scheduled

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine studies and nuclear cardiology procedures
• Skilled in IV insertion and patient preparation
• Experienced in safe handling and storage of radioactive materials
• Excellent patient care and bedside manner
• Thorough medical documentation and attention to detail
• Clear communication with physicians, cardiologists, and radiologists
• Familiarity with accreditation and licensing requirements for nuclear medicine
