Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging for ER patients including abdomen/pelvis, chest, head and neck
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely and monitor patients for reactions
• Start peripheral IVs as needed to facilitate contrast-enhanced studies
• Operate PACS and perform multiplanar reconstructions (MPR) for diagnostic review
• Prioritize and triage emergent trauma and stroke imaging to support rapid clinical decisions
• Collaborate with the ED team to ensure timely imaging, clear communication, and excellent patient care
• Maintain accurate charting in Meditech (and Epic where used) and document interventions clearly
• Assist with special procedures such as CT arthrography, vascular CTA, and brain perfusion studies

Qualifications

• Certification required: AART and current BLS
• ARRT CT and ARRT R are preferred (certs marked preferred in the posting)
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience (posting also notes first-timers accepted)
• Community hospital experience is required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Comfort working night shifts in a fast-paced ER environment
• Experience with PACS and multiplanar reconstruction (MPR); Siemens experience a plus
• Ability to work with adult and pediatric populations; NICU/PICU exposure preferred for some shifts

Education

• Certifications required: AART and BLS
• Preferred certifications: ARRT CT, ARRT R
