Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients including bathing, dressing and mobility assistance
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with feeding and toileting needs while preserving patient dignity
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate clearly on handoff
• Follow infection control procedures and facility policies to keep patients safe
• Work collaboratively with nurses and multidisciplinary team to deliver quality care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the state of California
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and remain alert for the duration of the shift
• Clean background check and up-to-date immunizations or TB testing as required by facility
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Previous experience in long term care, acute care, or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and team members
• Basic electronic charting / documentation skills
