Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
Assist with safe transfers, ambulation and positioning to promote mobility and comfort
Document care and observations accurately and legibly in the patient record
Support a positive patient experience by preserving dignity, privacy, and respect
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care

Qualifications

Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification — required
Valid state certification or eligibility to work as a CNA in California
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
Willingness to complete facility-required immunizations and TB screening
Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED (preferred)
CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Infection control and standard precautions
Basic charting and documentation practices
Teamwork, time management, and effective communication with patients and families
