Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage critically ill patients using advanced clinical judgment and critical care skills
• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care including monitoring, interventions, and documentation
• Operate and manage advanced monitoring equipment and support devices with vigilance
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Administer medications, titrate infusions, and manage complex therapies safely and accurately
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and transitions of care with compassion
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in code/rapid response situations as needed

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
• Healthcare Provider Level AHA BLS required
• ACLS and NIHSS required for ICU/CCU assignments
• PALS and TNCC preferred (nice-to-have)
• Previous ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• ICU critical care fundamentals: patient assessment, advanced monitoring, and interventions
• Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and vasoactive drips
• Proficient in ACLS protocols and rapid response workflows
• Skilled in charting and documentation within an electronic medical record
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments and collaborate with teams
