Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the MST unit during the overnight shift
• Monitor telemetry and assess patients' clinical status, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families with clarity and empathy to support recovery and discharge planning
• Actively participate in handoffs and communication to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS required; ACLS and/or PALS preferred
• Previous experience on medical-surgical or telemetry units preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Ability to work independently during night shift while collaborating with team members
• Proof of required immunizations and background checks as per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred but ADN candidates with strong telemetry experience are encouraged to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• IV therapy, medication administration, and infusion management
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and accurate documentation
• Patient education, discharge planning, and care coordination
• Effective communication and teamwork under fast-paced conditions
• Time management and ability to prioritize multiple patients
