Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for a diverse and acute patient population
• Manage time-sensitive interventions including sepsis protocols and chest pain/Heart Alert workflows
• Participate in airway management and intubations as part of the resuscitation team
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation safely and effectively
• Support stroke care pathways including NIHSS assessment and TPA administration
• Perform behavioral health watches and ensure safe monitoring for at-risk patients
• Document care accurately in Meditech and communicate changes in patient status to the team
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff; float to other units as needed to meet patient demand

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Required certifications: PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and NIHSS
• Meditech experience preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; able to float per hospital policy
• CEN certification considered a plus

• Airway management and conscious sedation monitoring
