Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to patients in a mixed 19-bed ICU and step-down (PMCU) setting
• Manage neuro patients and care for devices such as EBD drains with confidence
• Use Epic for charting and clinical workflows; demonstrate proficiency on required Epic assessments
• Float between ICU and Step-Down units to meet census needs while maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond effectively to trauma, vascular, and cardiothoracic patient needs within unit scope
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and handoffs for continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current CA RN license (required)
• Epic experience within the last year (must pass Epic pre-assessment)
• Neuro experience and demonstrated management of EBD drains
• At least 2 years of RN experience (critical care preferred)
• Comfort floating between ICU and PMCU (3:1 ratio in step-down)
• TNCC preferred (nice-to-have for trauma care)
• Willingness to work night shifts

• Trauma, vascular, and cardiothoracic care exposure
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and clinical judgment skills
