Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the care team
- Document patient interactions and care in a clear, timely manner
- Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in California (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Comfortable providing direct patient care and assisting with daily living activities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to follow care plans, chart accurately, and escalate concerns appropriately
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and patient care principles
- Skill in taking vital signs, assisting with mobility, and observing patient condition
- Familiarity with documentation best practices and electronic charting (if available)
- Ability to maintain patient privacy, safety, and infection control standards
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
