Registered Nurse - Surgical Unit (Med-Surg Adult)

Location: Janesville, WI

Start Date: 06-30-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour Night Shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver exceptional patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
Administer prescribed medications and treatments confidently and accurately
Maintain thorough documentation aligned with standards of care
Develop and execute individualized patient care plans in partnership with physicians and families
Participate in performance improvement initiatives to elevate unit quality
Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and a positive experience

Qualifications

Current NIHSS certification
Active Wisconsin RN license
Current CPR/BLS certification
Education verification required
Experience in Med-Surg Adult nursing
Willingness to float to other units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Nursing process and critical thinking
Medication administration and documentation
Patient care and safety
Clinical expertise and interdisciplinary collaboration
