Location: Waterville, ME

Start Date: 07-04-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Flexible shifts as needed, typically 12-hour shifts, example: 5:45 AM - 6:15 PM with 30-minute meal break

Candidate Pay Rate: $31 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to residents in a skilled nursing facility
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to healthcare team
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Document patient care accurately and timely
Educate patients and families on health conditions and care instructions

Qualifications

Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
Current BLS certification
Previous long-term care experience preferred, but new grads are welcome
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in electronic health records
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Compassion and empathy for geriatric patients
