Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shifts, 8-hour shifts, no weekends or on-call required

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and provide rehabilitative care
Administer therapeutic procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, exercises, and modalities under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising PT to adjust treatments as needed
Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
Document all regulatory and clinical information accurately in the electronic system
Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and facility trainings

Qualifications

At least 1 year of PTA experience required (new grads with Level II experience considered)
LTC or Rehab experience required
Active Texas PTA license required
Must be submitted at posted rate – if higher rate requested, candidate will be redirected

Knowledge & Skills

Evidence-based practice and clinical interventions
Manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modality administration
Patient assessment and progress documentation
Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team
Electronic documentation systems
APTA and state practice acts compliance
