Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour NIGHTS, 36-hour guarantee, every other weekend, holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 60

Roles & Responsibilities

Coordinate total nursing care for patients in a combined Med Surg and Rehabilitation unit
Participate in patient and family teaching to promote independence and recovery
Provide leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and interdisciplinary team members
Serve as backup Charge Nurse when needed
Float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg units as required
Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in a clinical setting

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg and Rehab experience - Required
Charge RN experience - Required
Previous travel assignment of at least 3 months - Required
Willingness to float to other units within scope of practice
Active Vermont RN license or Compact license - Required
Active BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications - Required
BSN strongly preferred
Reliable personal vehicle required (no public transport available)

Education

BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Leadership and charge nurse capabilities
