Location: Windsor, Vermont
Start Date: 08-03-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour NIGHTS, 36-hour guarantee, every other weekend and holidays as needed
Hours per Week: 60

Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver total nursing care for patients in a combined Med Surg and Rehab unit
- Participate in patient and family education to promote recovery and independence
- Provide leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and interdisciplinary team members
- Serve as a backup Charge Nurse when needed to support unit operations
- Float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg as patient needs require
- Maintain accurate documentation and utilize Cerner EMR efficiently
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg and Rehab experience
- Previous travel experience of at least 3 months
- Charge Nurse experience is required
- Active Vermont RN license or compact license (must upload with profile)
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must have reliable transportation (no public transport available)
- BSN strongly preferred
Education
- BSN strongly preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Med Surg and Rehabilitation nursing
- Experience with Cerner EMR system
- Strong leadership and patient education skills
- Ability to float to other units within scope of practice
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
