Registered Nurse - Neuro ICU

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert critical care to neuro patients in a 32-bed Level 1 Trauma ICU
- Perform advanced neuro assessments and ICP monitoring to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Manage ventilators and complex neurological cases including craniotomies and brain tumor removals
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team at the world-renowned Barrow Neurological Institute
- Float between ICU and Telemetry units while delivering compassionate, high-quality care
- Maintain sterile technique during procedures and uphold the highest standards of patient safety
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a large hospital setting
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- EVD experience required
- 3-6 months of recent travel nursing experience preferred
- Strong neuro assessment and ICP monitoring skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Neuro ICU nursing with focus on trauma and complex neurological conditions
- Cerner electronic medical records system
- Ventilator management and advanced monitoring
- Floating comfortably between ICU and Telemetry units
- Maintaining sterile field during catheter and line procedures
