Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to med-surg/telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond swiftly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop timely care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document patient status and interventions clearly in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Contribute to unit quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Experience caring for med-surg and telemetry patients preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently on per-diem night shifts and collaborate as part of a team

Education

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and basic ECG rhythm recognition
• IV therapy and medication administration
• Patient assessment, vital signs interpretation, and escalation
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Time management in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
