Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients on the MST unit
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms, escalating as needed
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create patient-centered plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the EHR
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and implement appropriate interventions

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior experience in medical-surgical and/or telemetry care preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in acute care settings
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required onboarding
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• IV therapy, medication administration, and safe documentation
• Familiarity with common hospital EHR systems and workflows
• Patient assessment, wound care basics, and post-op care
• Prioritization, time management, and escalation of clinical concerns
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient education techniques
