Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care as a Registered Nurse on the MST team
• Assess patients quickly and accurately during critical time-sensitive situations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate timely interventions
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and promptly
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plans, and follow-up
• Participate in process improvement and post-event debriefs to enhance care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — California licensure preferred
• Experience working in acute care, emergency, or mobile stroke teams is a strong plus
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS highly desirable
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and triage skills
• Ability to work independently on per-diem night shifts and collaborate with on-site teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in rapid patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Comfortable with acute care workflows, documentation systems, and protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills under pressure
• Familiarity with stroke care pathways, neurologic assessment, and stabilization
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively during high-acuity events
