Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe nursing care for assigned patients during overnight hours
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and promptly communicate changes
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Document patient care clearly and thoroughly in the medical record
• Respond effectively to emergencies and escalations during the shift
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Previous acute care or med-surgical experience preferred
• Comfortable working independently during overnight shifts and managing priorities
• Clean background checks and required immunizations as per facility policy

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficient with electronic health record documentation
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
