Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered medical-surgical nursing care to adults with general M/S and oncology overflow diagnoses
• Document assessments, interventions and patient progress accurately and efficiently in EPIC
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following policies and best practices
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth transitions and excellent outcomes
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes quickly, and escalate concerns to the care team
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and next steps in a clear, empathetic way

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be verifiable via Nursys License Verification)
• Minimum 2 years experience in the medical-surgical specialty (explicitly required)
• EPIC experience required — you’ll be documenting and charting like a pro
• Skills Checklist, References, and Certification Card must be provided during application
• Resume/work history with no gaps greater than 60 days (please be thorough)
• Profile must include all demographic info and a badge-appropriate picture for onboarding

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medical-surgical nursing knowledge and clinical assessment skills
• Familiarity with oncology overflow diagnoses and care considerations
• Proficient documentation and charting in EPIC
• Safe medication administration and clinical prioritization
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Detail-oriented approach to licensure, certifications and onboarding requirements
