Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
• Perform comprehensive assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Operate and manage ventilators and advanced monitoring equipment
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and interdisciplinary teams
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
• Educate patients and families with clarity and empathy during critical moments
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for California (required)
• Experience working in an ICU setting (critical care experience preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred
• Comfortable with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring and critical meds
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and rapid recognition of patient deterioration
• Ventilator settings and weaning principles
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and ACLS protocols
• IV medication administration and titration in critical care
• Electronic health record charting and accurate clinical documentation
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and patient/family education
