Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in the emergency setting
• Provide hands-on nursing care including medication administration and IV management
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans
• Monitor and document patient status, response to treatment, and escalate concerns promptly
• Deliver compassionate patient and family education during high-stress moments
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace and adhere to infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current RN license (California preferred; compact license acceptable where applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) highly encouraged or preferred
• Previous emergency department (ER) nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Current immunizations and any facility-required health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage and acute care assessment
• IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation best practices
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and communicate clearly with teams
• Basic familiarity with emergency equipment (monitors, airway devices, defibrillators)
