Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
- Triage and quickly assess patients to prioritize care in a fast-paced ED
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the care team to coordinate patient flow
- Monitor and document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly
- Respond promptly to emergencies and facilitate rapid stabilization and transfer
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California required
- Emergency Department experience and comfort with acute care environments preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
- Current immunizations and ability to meet facility health requirements
- Excellent clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong triage and rapid assessment skills
- Proficiency in emergency nursing procedures and protocols
- Ability to perform IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
- Skilled at clear, concise documentation and handoffs
- Critical thinking under pressure and effective time management
- Collaborative team player with patient-centered communication
