Start Date: 07-02-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Evening shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (includes 30 min meal break)

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily care to elderly residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Monitor vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
Support residents' mobility, nutrition, and hygiene needs with dignity and respect
Document care provided accurately in electronic health records
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of life for residents
Create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and families

Qualifications

Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland (required)
Current CPR certification (must be obtained prior to start)
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Reliable transportation to the facility in Waldorf, MD

Knowledge & Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Empathy and patience when working with elderly populations
Basic understanding of infection control and safety protocols
Ability to lift and transfer residents using proper body mechanics
Time management and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
