Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Plan and implement recreational therapy activities to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being
Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans
Lead group and individual sessions using creative and therapeutic activities
Document patient progress and adjust interventions as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care
Promote a positive and engaging environment for recovery

Qualifications

Current Recreational Therapist certification (CTRS or eligible)
1+ year of experience in mental health or psychiatric settings preferred
BLS certification required
Must be comfortable working with diverse patient populations

Education

Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of recreational therapy principles and modalities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt activities to individual patient needs
Proficiency in documentation and electronic health records
