Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour days; flexible start time between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

Screen, evaluate, and treat patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
Develop individualized plans of care using evidence-based practice and standardized assessments
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments to achieve optimal outcomes
Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers
Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive care
Document all services accurately in the electronic medical record
Supervise and support Clinical Fellows and student SLPs

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active Missouri state license (or ability to obtain before start)
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
At least 1 year of SLP experience (new grads with Level II clinical experience welcome)
Long-term care or rehab experience required
Strong communication and documentation skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in dysphagia, cognitive-communication, and speech disorders
Proficiency with standardized assessments and treatment planning
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills
Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards
