Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (30-minute meal break)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Plan and implement therapeutic recreational activities to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being
Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans
Document patient progress and adjust activities as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary mental health team to ensure holistic care
Facilitate group and individual sessions using evidence-based recreation therapy techniques

Qualifications

Current certification as a Recreational Therapist (CTRS preferred)
Experience in mental health or psychiatric settings
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to document accurately and efficiently
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of therapeutic recreation assessment and intervention methods
Skill in developing rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
Understanding of mental health conditions and behavioral interventions
Proficiency in charting (CHART), communication (COMM), and core therapy skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
