Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify medications accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
• Perform vancomycin, aminoglycoside and anticoagulant dosing and monitoring
• Manage pain consults and collaborate with clinical teams to optimize patient care
• Compound and supervise sterile IV preparations, using Dose Edge for verification
• Oversee and mentor pharmacy technicians, including Pyxis and Pak Edge management
• Document interventions and medication changes in the EMR (Meditech) clearly and promptly
• Participate in unit-based pharmacy activities to support high-quality inpatient services

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Missouri (MO Pharmacist License required)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (as indicated in posting)
• Experience with sterile compounding and supervising technicians
• Familiarity with Dose Edge, Pyxis, Pak Edge and Meditech
• ACLS and BLS preferred
• NICU experience is a plus

Education

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication verification and inpatient pharmacy workflows
• Vancomycin, aminoglycoside and anticoagulant dosing protocols
• Sterile compounding procedures and IV verification (Dose Edge)
• Pyxis and Pak Edge medication systems management
• EMR documentation using Meditech
• Clinical collaboration and patient-focused medication counseling
