Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients following facility policies and care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the patient record
• Monitor patient status and report changes promptly to the care team to support positive outcomes
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to coordinate safe and efficient patient care
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions in a respectful manner
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges while maintaining a safe environment and proper infection control practices

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (Licensed Practical Nurse preferred) — North Carolina licensure or eligibility required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required
• Clinical experience in acute care, long-term care, or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pass facility-required screenings and background checks

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical/Vocational Nursing program (for LPN)
• Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing for RNs (if applying as RN)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Infection control and safety procedures
• Electronic health record (EHR) charting fundamentals
• Basic wound care, IV care (as allowed by scope), and ADL assistance
• Time management and prioritization in a 12+ hour shift environment
