Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to patients, ensuring dignity and respect
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and repositioning to prevent skin breakdown
• Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and care team to coordinate care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Document care interventions thoroughly and timely in the patient record

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
• Active state CNA certification/registration as applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable with night shift work and providing compassionate care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assignment locations

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Clear, timely documentation and communication
• Empathy, patience, and strong bedside manner
• Ability to follow care plans and respond to changing needs
