Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility assistance with proper techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support individualized care plans
- Ensure a clean, comfortable, and dignified environment for patients at all times
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Valid state-required certifications and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
- Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated compassion, strong communication, and teamwork
- Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and current certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to perform ADLs safely and with respect for patient dignity
- Basic infection control and patient safety practices
- Comfortable with charting and following care plans
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and care teams
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs during a shift
