Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate overnight patient care, assisting with hygiene, mobility, and comfort
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and positioning with attention to body mechanics
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist with electronic or paper charting
• Follow infection control procedures and facility safety protocols every shift
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
• Valid state-required immunizations and background check clearance as per facility policy
• Comfortable and experienced with overnight/longer shifts and per-diem assignments
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care: bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting assistance
• Vital signs measurement and reporting
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Infection prevention and universal precautions
• Basic charting and documentation practices
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
