Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to patients and support their comfort
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Monitor, record and report vital signs and changes in patient condition
• Support safe transfers and mobility, following proper lifting techniques
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient chart
• Follow infection control standards and promote a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver consistent patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification (state-required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Prior experience in patient care or long-term care is a plus
• Ability to work overnight shifts and remain alert for patient needs
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings
• Reliable transportation and professional communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with vital signs and basic clinical observations
• Familiarity with ADL assistance and safe patient handling
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Strong infection control and safety awareness
• Compassionate communication with patients and families
• Teamwork, time management, and adaptability in fast-paced settings
