Location: Apple Valley, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Saturday option, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM Day 3x12-Hour, block schedule M-W preferred, no Sundays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and manage complex wounds including pressure ulcers and surgical sites
Apply advanced treatments like Wound Vac therapy and sharp debridement
Stage pressure ulcers from I to IV with expert precision
Perform ulcer risk assessments using Braden scale tools
Educate patients and families on skin integrity and wound care
Collaborate with teams to heal chronic, trauma, and surgical wounds

Qualifications

Active RN license
BLS required, ACLS preferred
WOCN or Wound Care Certification mandatory
2 years hospital experience required, first-time travelers welcome with 5+ years
Epic experience highly preferred

Education

RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

Wound Vac therapy mastery
Diverse dressings from alginates to silver products
Pressure ulcer staging and management
Continence evaluation and ostomy care
Infection control and patient teaching
G-tube/J-tube site care
