Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform biopsychosocial assessments to truly understand patient and family needs
Provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed support that makes a real difference
Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams for seamless continuity
Connect families with vital community resources and programs
Educate and advocate for patients and families in high-stakes situations
Develop treatment plans that empower children and promote healing

Qualifications

Current CA LCSW license in good standing
Minimum 2 years of professional pediatric experience
Epic EMR proficiency
Experience in healthcare, mental health, or child protection settings
Willingness to float to other UCSF units as needed

Education

Master's degree in Social Work or related field (required for LCSW)

Knowledge & Skills

Crisis de-escalation techniques
Trauma-informed care practices
Child protective services and adoption/foster care knowledge
Community programs including AFDC, food stamps, and TANF
Biopsychosocial and social-emotional assessments
Cultural competency and NASW Code of Ethics
