Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver hands-on physical therapy to help patients regain mobility and strength
Perform assessments like AROM, PROM, and strength testing to tailor treatment plans
Apply modalities such as e-stim, ultrasound, and cryotherapy for optimal recovery
Guide gait training and home exercise programs to empower patient independence
Treat orthopedic conditions from hip fractures to spinal issues with expertise and care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a short-term acute care setting

Qualifications

Active Oregon state license
BLS certification
At least 1 year of experience, welcoming first-timers
Familiarity with Epic charting system a plus

Education

Completion of accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in orthopedics including ankle sprains, knee injuries, low back pain, and post-op rehab
Skilled in modalities like cervical traction, TENS, moist heat, and taping
Proficient in assessments, body mechanics, pain evaluation, and assistive devices
Experience with billing for commercial, Medicaid, Medicare B, and workers comp
Strong in home exercise programs, lifting transfers, and patient education
